ClankerMails is operated by Lambda Symbolics OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17437416). As an Estonian company, we comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data We Collect
We collect the following information when you use ClankerMails:
- Account information: Email address and a securely hashed password (or Google account identifier if using Google sign-in).
- Email data: Messages received by your inboxes, including sender, subject, body, headers, and attachments. This is the core data the service stores on your behalf.
- Usage data: Basic server logs for security, debugging, and rate limiting (IP addresses, request timestamps).
How We Use Your Data
- Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your account.
- Service delivery: To receive, store, and serve email messages to your inboxes via the API and dashboard.
- Webhook delivery: To forward message notifications to webhook URLs you configure.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Polar.sh: For subscription payment processing.
- Google: For optional OAuth sign-in (only if you choose to sign in with Google).
We do not sell, share, or transfer your email data to any third party. Your inbox contents remain on our servers and are accessible only through your API key or dashboard session.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies:
- Session token: A secure, HTTP-only cookie to keep you logged in.
- OAuth state: Temporary cookies during Google sign-in (deleted after authentication).
Data Retention
Email messages are retained according to your subscription tier (Hobby: 7 days, Pro: 30 days, Business: 90 days). After the retention period, messages and their attachments are permanently deleted.
Your account data is stored as long as you maintain an account. You may request deletion at any time.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Object to processing of your data
- Data portability
